Cookie Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

In short

We use storage to keep you signed in and remember your choices. No advertising cookies or tracking cookies.

Necessary storage

Authentication uses browser local storage to keep your session between visits; in embedded previews it may use a shared preview storage bridge. Your browser may also receive essential session or infrastructure cookies from our hosting or sign-in provider during authentication. Their lifetime depends on your session and provider settings. Signing out removes the active session.

scoutgrid-theme in local storage remembers light or dark mode until you clear it. scoutgrid-cookie-choice remembers your dismissal or consent choice until you clear it. These preferences do not expire automatically.

Analytics

Our first-party page counting uses no cookies or local storage identifiers. Daily hashed sessions let us count visits without storing raw IP addresses or user agents. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.

Maps and external services

When you open a map, your browser requests map tiles and resources from api.mapbox.com and related Mapbox domains. We do not set Mapbox cookies ourselves; Mapbox may receive your IP address and technical request details as part of serving the map. We cannot guarantee that its infrastructure never sets a cookie. See Mapbox’s privacy policy for its own practices.

Your choices

Only necessary storage is currently used. You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser, but doing so may sign you out or reset your preferences. If we introduce optional trackers, we will ask for an opt-in choice before loading them.
