Who we are

Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 to use ScoutGrid. Keep your account details accurate and your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and must not impersonate anyone.
Our role and bookings
ScoutGrid is a marketplace connecting guests with independent local hosts. Hosts provide and organise their experiences; ScoutGrid is not the organiser unless we expressly say so. Experience descriptions, dates, prices and meeting points come from hosts.
Payments are not live yet: bookings are currently free reservations. No card is charged and no payment is collected. We will update these terms before paid bookings open.
Cancellations and refunds
Each host sets a cancellation policy displayed at booking. For free reservations, there is no payment to refund. When paid bookings launch, any applicable cancellation and refund rules will be shown before checkout.
The EU 14-day withdrawal right generally does not apply to leisure services provided on a specific date or during a specific period (Article 16(l) of Directive 2011/83/EU and Article VI.53, 12° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law). This does not remove other mandatory consumer rights.
Host responsibilities
Hosts must describe their activities accurately and meet applicable licensing, insurance, tax, safety and food hygiene requirements where relevant. Hosts are responsible for delivering their own experiences.
Community and content
Be respectful in dispatches and messages. Do not harass, deceive, discriminate, spam, infringe others’ rights or post unlawful content. You retain ownership of content you post and grant ScoutGrid a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display and distribute it as needed to operate the service, until you remove it, subject to legal retention requirements.
Passport stamps record completed experiences. They are personal, non-transferable and have no monetary value.
Liability and suspension
We may suspend access for safety, fraud, abuse or breaches of these terms. To the extent Belgian law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by an independent host or events outside our control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer protections.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will give notice of material changes. Belgian law applies. The courts of Brussels have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory protections and court rights available to consumers.
The former EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform closed in July 2025; it is no longer available for complaints. Contact us directly for help with a dispute.
